Artificial Lures: Blade Baits

Blade baits are thin, metal lures with two hooks and usually two separate holes to which line is tied, as opposed to a hook eye or loop. Action and vibration vary depending on which hole is used. Blade baits are similar in appearance to small spoons and are used almost exclusively for schooling fish. The angler either casts the lure out and allows it to flutter and drop as it moves downward, or simply fishes the bait vertically, similar to vertical jigging.
